BACKGROUND

This matter was introduced on first reading by the Council at their January 16, 2024 meeting.  The ordinance will allow community education for minors as a conditionally permitted use in the Commercial Office (C/O) land use designation with the approval of a SCUP, which is consistent with how the use is permitted elsewhere in the city, thus providing a positive city image.  The amendment will also establish the required off-street parking requirements.

Once adopted on second reading, the ordinance will go into effect thirty (30) days thereafter.
