BACKGROUND
Ordinance No. 2024-008 was introduced on first reading by the Council at its May 21, 2024 meeting. The Ordinance is to allow the City to limit access to City owned or controlled properties. Violations of the Ordinance would be enforceable through state civil and criminal laws governing trespass and any manner prescribed for violations of the Chino Municipal Code. A draft Resolution was also provided at the Council meeting identifying the timeframes and locations where access is proposed to be limited in the City.
Once adopted on second reading, the Ordinance and standards identified in the Resolution will go into effect thirty (30) days thereafter.
