BACKGROUND
The City of Chino's Public Works Department Water Division oversees the maintenance and operation of the City's various water assets and distribution systems. Provision of these maintenance and operation services is critical, ensuring reliable potable water distribution to approximately 80,000 residents. The City produces approximately half of its total potable water supply by operating City-owned groundwater wells. Currently, the City owns and maintains twelve (12) groundwater wells and fourteen (14) booster pumps, which require routine maintenance and, occasional emergency repairs. Groundwater production is supplemented with purchased imported water to supply both potable and recycled water services for residential, agricultural, retail, and industrial customers.
