RECOMMENDATION
1) Award a Professional Servies Agreement to PMK Associates, Inc., Laguna Woods, CA, in the amount of $60,000 and Transtech Engineers, Chino, CA, in the amount of $40,000 for As-Needed Traffic Plan Check and Other Related Services; 2) authorize the City Manager to execute the necessary documents on behalf of the City.

There are sufficient funds in the Fiscal Year 2024-2025 Land Development Program Budget for the traffic plan check services.

BACKGROUND
The Transportation Division within the Public Works Department includes the City Traffic Engineer and two Associate Engineers. Together, the team is responsible for a full range of municipal traffic engineering-related functions from operations, maintenance, planning, design, and plan checking. Although the team is more than capable, the workload requires supplemental assistance from consultants to meet the demands of the City's customers. Routine functions such as encroachment permit - traffic control plan checking, and other similar plan checking services are easily achievable with consultants.
