RECOMMENDATION
Approve the adoption of Ordinance No. 2025-007 (Second Reading), amending Title 15 of the Chino Municipal Code (Buildings and Construction) which adopts the 2025 Edition of the California Building Codes which are based on the International Building and Fire Codes, 2024 Editions, published by the International Code Council (ICC); the Uniform Plumbing and Mechanical Codes, 2024 Editions, published by the International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials (IAPMO); and the National Electrical Code, 2024 Edition, published by the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA).

BACKGROUND
Ordinance No. 2025-007 was introduced on first reading by the City Council at its October 21, 2025 meeting. The Ordinance will amend Title 15 of the Chino Municipal Code (Buildings and Construction), which adopts the 2025 Edition of the California Building Codes which are based on the International Building and Fire Codes, 2024 Editions, published by the International Code Council (ICC); the Uniform Plumbing and Mechanical Codes, 2024 Editions, published by the International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials (IAPMO); and the National Electrical Code, 2024 Edition, published by the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA).
Once adopted on second reading, the Ordinance will go into effect thirty (30) days thereafter.
