RECOMMENDATION
recommendation
1) Establish Project number PK270 - Ayala Park Irrigation Improvements and appropriate $221,103 from the Water Fund (520) reserves; 2) award a professional services agreement for $221,102.60 to Van Dyke Landscape Architects for Irrigation & Landscape Design Services; and 3) authorize the City Manager to execute all necessary documents on behalf of the City.

BACKGROUND
Ruben S. Ayala Park, also known as "Ayala Park" named after the former State Senator, is the City's largest community park at 140 acres, located on the corner of Central Avenue and Edison Avenue. Ayala Park is a cornerstone of the Chino community, hosting sports, City events, and family activities. Amenities at the park include softball, baseball, and soccer fields, an artificial turf stadium, picnic pavilions, barbecues, playground equipment, restrooms and concession buildings, a skate park, batting cages, horseshoe pits, and multipurpose walkways and trails.
