RECOMMENDATION
1) Authorize the acceptance of the 2024-25 Office of Traffic Safety Motorcyclist Safety Education and Training Program Grants combined for a total amount of $18,200; 2) appropriate $18,200 to the General Fund grant G4264 with a corresponding increase to the grant revenue; and 3) authorize the City Manager or designee to execute all necessary documents related to this grant on behalf of the City.

Appropriate $18,200 to the General Fund grant G4264 with a corresponding increase to the grant revenue. The requested appropriation is fully offset by grant revenue and no local matching funds are requested.

BACKGROUND
The Chino Police Department has been awarded the "2024-25 Motorcyclist Safety Education and Training Program" in the amount of $18,200 from the State of California - Office of Traffic Safety. The grant period is October 1, 2025, through September 30, 2026, and will cover the cost of hands-on motorcyclist safety courses, community outreach and public awareness campaigns, educational presentations, and workshops. Additionally, the grant covers the cost of training and campaign supplies.
The state funding of $18,200 will be allotted to the federal tracking number CFDA 20.616 - City Grant #G4264.
