RECOMMENDATION
1) Designate Council Member Comstock as the City's Voting Delegate, Council Member Lucio as the City's 2nd Voting Delegate-Alternate, and Council Member Flores as the 3rd Voting Delegate-Alternate for the 2025 League of California Cities Annual Conference in Long Beach, CA from October 8-10, 2025.

There is no fiscal impact associated with this action. Registration for the 2025 League of California Cities Annual Conference in Long Beach, CA is required to participate in this action and is included in the FY 2025-26 budget.

BACKGROUND
The League of California Cities (Cal Cities) 2025 Annual Conference and Expo is scheduled for October 8-10, 2025, in Long Beach, CA. An important aspect of the Annual Conference is the Annual Business Meeting (during the General Assembly), which will take place on Friday, October 10, 2025. At this meeting, Cal Cities' membership considers and acts on resolutions that establish Cal Cities' policy.
ISSUES/ANALYSIS
To vote at the annual business meeting, City Council action is required to designate a voting delegate. The City Council may also designate up to two alternate voting delegates to ensure the City can lend its support to resolutions that address statewide matters and augment Cal Cities' policy.
