RECOMMENDATION
1) Authorize the acceptance of the Fiscal Year 2023 Homeland Security Grant #G4258 in the amount of $27,162; 2) appropriate $27,162 to the General Fund Grant G4258 with a corresponding increase to the General Fund revenues; 3) authorize the City Manager or Chief of Police to execute all necessary documents related to the grants on behalf of the City.

BACKGROUND
The State Homeland Security Grant Program (HSGP) is designed to secure and provide the nation with capabilities required across the whole community to prevent, protect against, mitigate, respond to, and recover from acts of terrorism. Funds are awarded to the State of California, which then provides funds to San Bernardino County on behalf of city, county, and special district programs. San Bernardino County Office of Emergency Services is a subgrantee of the HSGP and oversees the administration of grant funds for San Bernardino's Operational Area.
