RECOMMENDATION
Approve contract amendment No. 4 with TAIT & Associates, Inc. Contract No. 2022-196 for $83,194 for a not to exceed contract amount of $167,834 for engineering design services related to Project SN221 and authorize the City Manager to execute all necessary documents on behalf of the City.

FISCAL IMPACT
Sufficient funds are budgeted in the Fiscal Year 2025-26 Capital Improvement Program (CIP) for the Alley/Sanitation Rehabilitation FY21-22 Various Locations (SN221). [AE2][MC3][LHJ4][LHJ5] The funding for Contract Amendment No. 4 is available within the Sanitation Fund (Fund 550) under the City's trash services contract for alley maintenance activities.

BACKGROUND
As part of the Capital Improvement Program (CIP), staff assessed various alleys to determine and establish a plan to improve deteriorating conditions. Staff determined two (2) alleys running east and west (Alleys 20 & 21), between B Street and D Street from Central Avenue to Benson Avenue that require repairs. Repairs consist of rehabilitation of alley pavement, and reconstruction of alley approaches, sidewalks, curbs, and gutters to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
