RECOMMENDATION
1) Adopt Resolution No. 2024-036 to accept the California Highway Patrol Cannabis Tax Fund Grant Program and acceptance of Grant Proceeds in the amount of $110,153.08; 2) appropriate $110,153.08 from the unappropriated reserves of the General Fund; 3) increase the General Fund revenue budget by $110,153.08; and 4) authorize the City Manager to execute any necessary documents on behalf of the City.

BACKGROUND
On June 6, 2024, the Chino Police Department received notification from the California Highway Patrol that it has been approved for the Cannabis Tax Fund Grant Program (CTFGP) in the amount of $110,153.08. The purpose of this program is to help the City of Chino reduce and mitigate the impacts of impaired driving in the community. The funds from this grant will significantly enhance the Chino Police Department's ability to educate the community about the dangers of impaired driving, utilizing innovative tools and interactive methods to make a lasting impact.
