There will be an increase of $14,292 to the Enterprise Funds in the Public Works budget for FY25-26. There are sufficient funds available for this request.

BACKGROUND
The Human Resources/Risk Management Department routinely collaborates with departments to establish, revise, and delete job classifications. After an assessment of current operations in the Public Works Department, staff identified the need for an Environmental Compliance Supervisor position to assist with the supervision of water environmental service projects.
The Public Works Department is responsible for water resources and environmental services. As the number of water environmental projects continues to grow, state mandates and regulatory requirements have also increased. To address this, staff proposes reclassifying the vacant Project Coordinator position to an Environmental Compliance Supervisor position.
