RECOMMENDATION
1) Authorize the acceptance of the FY 2025-26 Office of Traffic Safety STEP Grant in the amount of $199,600 and establish 3 separate grant numbers; 2) appropriate $199,600 to the Fund 135-Federal Grant; 3) increase the Fund 135 revenue grant budget by $199,600; and 4) authorize the City Manager or designee to execute all necessary documents related to this grant on behalf of the City.

FISCAL IMPACT
Appropriate $199,600 to the Fund 135 Federal Grant Fund with a corresponding increase to the grant revenue. The requested appropriation is fully offset by grant revenue and no local matching funds are requested. The three grant numbers are G4273 in the amount of $130,000, G4274 in the amount of $42,000, and G4275 in the amount of $27,600, totaling $199,600. These federal funds are passed through the State of California, therefore will be placed on the Schedule of Expenditures of Federal Awards (SEFA).
