The City of Chino is committed to protecting the lives, property, environment, and economic stability of the community through effective emergency management planning. The Emergency Operations Plan (EOP) serves as the City's primary framework for coordinating mitigation, preparedness, response, and recovery activities before, during, and after emergencies and disasters.
Over time, the EOP has undergone periodic revisions to reflect changes in laws, policies, organizational structure, and emergency management practices, with the last comprehensive update completed in 2014. To ensure the City maintains a current and effective framework to coordinate actions before, during, and after a disaster, a major revision of the EOP was needed. The updated plan has been comprehensively reviewed to ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local requirements, including the National Incident Management System (NIMS), California Emergency Services Act, and Standardized Emergency Management System (SEMS).
