RECOMMENDATION
1) Authorize the acceptance of the State Department of Resources, Recycling and Recovery (CalRecycle) Rubberized Pavement Grant Program (TRP18) grant funds in the amount of $138,525; 2) establish Grant No. G7806; 3) appropriate $39,750 to the Traffic Installation - Monte Vista Avenue at Walnut Avenue Project (TR212) and appropriate $8,400 to the Pavement Improvements Zone 1 and Cypress Avenue Project (ST260); and 4) authorize the City Manager to execute the necessary documents on behalf of the City.

BACKGROUND
CalRecycle administers the Rubberized Pavement Grant Program to encourage the use of recycled waste tires in roadway projects throughout California. Established as part of the State's waste tire recycling efforts, the program provides funding to local agencies that use rubberized asphalt in pavement rehabilitation and roadway improvements. By supporting the use of recycled tire materials, the program helps reduce landfill waste, promotes sustainable construction practices, and improves roadway infrastructure across the state.
