RECOMMENDATION
1) Accept the Measure I Award-Omnitrans 2025 Specialized Transportation grant in the amount of $249,775 for FY 2025 ($122,016) and FY 2026 ($127,759); 2) appropriate $34,516 for expense and increase revenue by $5,799 for FY 2025, and 3) authorize the City Manager to execute all necessary documents related to the funding program on behalf of the City.

FISCAL IMPACT
Requires an additional appropriation of $34,516 from the unappropriated reserves of the Community Services Fund and a $5,799 increase to revenue. The $127,759 for FY 2026 will be included in the FY 2025-26 budget.

BACKGROUND
On November 16, 2017, Omnitrans Special Transportation Services announced the release of the 2018 Measure I Specialized Transportation Grant funding cycle. Funding was available to organizations that provide transportation services in the San Bernardino Valley subarea to seniors and persons with disabilities. The funding comes from a portion of a one-half of one percent (.05%) sales tax approved by voters and generated in the incorporated and unincorporated territory of the County of San Bernardino.
