RECOMMENDATION

BACKGROUND
In July 2010, the City Council adopted Envision Chino 2025 ("2025 General Plan"), a comprehensive update to the City's General Plan. Section 65400 of the Government Code requires the Planning Commission to review and forward to the City Council an annual report describing the City's progress in implementing its 2025 General Plan and Housing Element. Once reviewed by the City, the report is required to be sent electronically to the Governor's Office of Land Use and Climate Innovation (LCI), formerly the Governor's Office of Planning and Research (OPR), as well as the California Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD). In September 2025, the City Council adopted the 2045 General Plan Update.
